So, it seems (I think) that someone fell for the line that Specialized do lock on type grips with only one collar, but that "The grips they do for left handed riders have the collar on the "outside" only."

🙂

Let's hear the others you know of!

Carbon is no good for mountain bikes as it breaks too easily

The top's only just around the next corner(and they fell for it five times on the same climb too).

You have to let your tyres down before you put your bike on a plane.

This sounds just like the other thread...
...so I'll just add the usual; wearing a piece of low density polystyrene on your head (costing £100+) makes you invulnerable to injury, and allows you to ride like an erse (see commuting video thread) 😉

Wearing your jeans down your bum prevents any sort of injury.

Teenagers riding high spec bikes dont speak.

This years XTR/XO etc is 36% stiffer/lighter/stronger/betterer than last years.
By that rational 1997 XTR was made of pig iron and only worked properly on tuesdays.

Chap exiting Oxspring tunnel on the TPT before it had lights: "It's okay, apart from the big hole about half way!"

Can't remember exact details due to my auldtimers disease, but mbuk circa a long time ago, photographed the suckers of a white bath mat and claimed this was the new onza porcupines especially for wet conditions.

IIRC they had tons (well maybe 4 or 5) requests for more details.
