I've recently acquired some Raceface Deus cranks, but the drive side does not have the 'red seal' that the instructions say is pre-fitted at the factory and mustn't be removed.
Does anyone know if it's safe to fit the cranks without this?
The cranks were secondhand so I can't send them back!

Nope you'll be needing that as it helps to pre-load the bearings in the BB
