I know the answer is really get winter boots but I haven't got the money. Has anyone found any overshoes that work for gravel riding and don't die quickly.

don’t die quickly.

This is the issue I found, not the function.

I have some Bontrager ones in stretchy fleece inner / Darth Vader shiny black outer. They have much less under the sole, more like a flat pedal shoe, and as such haven't been in contact with the ground as much. I would not wear them if any hike a bike is expected.

I got a good few years out of a set of Endura overshoes (nothing fancy, they might even have been road versions but with Kevlar re-enforced hems).

Yes they got pretty knackered but for gravel purposes they still served a function. The zips went first, partly through neglect (rinse them, lube them often) but possibly also because Endura seem to use the shoddiest zips on the market 🙄

Obviously I started wearing through the reenforced bits of the toes and heels from walking on them but even this took ages and I don't ever think they actually failed, at the end of the day they still kept my feet warm and dry.

Otherwise Spatz? close to £100 quid though so you might as well consider the Northwave boots anyway which is what I eventually did.

You are going to wear any out as soon as you've got your feet down - PX have some Carnac ones that are OK and quite cheap. I've found the BBB Hardwear overshoes as tough as they come - PU coated thick neoprene

Cheap ones from PX with Velcro not zips, last a few seasons at least.

I have a pair of Endura MT500 overshoes that are now on their second winter and doing well so far. Fortunately I don't have to put my feet down much so they don't seem to be wearing through yet, and they definitely pull their weight in terms of keeping crap off my feet.

Eventually I'd like to upgrade to proper winter boots but sizing seems to be a bit of a free for all (especially with wanting to fit winter socks on) so I'm holding off until I get the opportunity to try some on, whenever that may be.

This.
Spent out on SealSkinz ones and they shredded within one winter and the zips were tiny and a right pain to do up. Same with Endura IIRC.

As folk have said the Endura MT500s are good.I have a really old mtb pair that I use offroad and they have a rubber gripper that goes around the edge of the shoe/boot,it's so good that I ended up cutting off the velcro straps that go under the sole. The only downside with the model Ihave is that they need to be pulled on before you put the shoe/boot on,so only get used when I am going out out 😃

I have these: https://www.wiggle.co.uk/gripgrab-racethermo-x-waterproof-winter-mtbcx-shoe-cover

which are the only ones that havent failed quickly (all others failed at zip, as others have said).

They are good but i think they were under £30 when i bought them, not sure I'd pay £50!!
