As above - has anyone got any recommendations for gravel/MTB hire in Dumfries town? Thanks!
There's a dire lack of bike hire places around town these days, especially so since the shop & cafe closed at Ae.
There's nothing at Mabie or Ae (i.e. Dumfries' two local 'Stanes) anymore.
I don't think either of the Dumfries bike shops do hires either - G&G or DG2 Wheels would be your best bet to ask but don't hold your breath.
You're having to look further afield on this one, I fear.
If you're able and willing to travel 20 mins each way then, MPG in Dalbeattie have hire bikes. As do the Breakpad at Kirroughtree but you're an hour's drive each way from Dumfries for that one. Kayantics in Moffat also worth a look, depending on where you're located.
The 7 Stanes OG himself, Rik of Bike Shed fame recently re-emerged after a couple of years in the wilderness. I think he's focusing on repairs-only and doubt he'll have anything for hire but no harm dropping him a message to ask.
