I know a fella on another forum with one just like that.
Really?
how odd..
Who ever fitted your kitchen should have realised that the units needed to come out a little so your cooker would be flush.
Robust bike though. Looks tough.
I
(rented house.. so not too concerned! 🙂 )
thanks, certainly is one of the stiffest trail bikes about,
que?
Ohhhhh!!...you meant Foes the bike brand.....sorry
You know it's a shit joke when you have to explain it...
so so true
aha! I get it now. . 🙂
So . . . No other foes riders out there? There must be!
I'd love a foes but its a bit out of my pocket.
that one looks very nice
From Halfords then.
podge - they are very expensive and i certainly couldnt afford a new one!! Although balfa had some on sale for same price as an intense tracer . . . Still not exactly cheap!
. . And thanks! Tbh my riding doesnt do it justice!
I keep my eye out for them secondhand now and again. seen them going brand new for a grand a couple of times too but never when i have the cash
For such an expensive bike that i'm sad to say looks average.
Maybe photo doesn't do it justice.
RopeyReignRider - Member. . . certainly is one of the stiffest trail bikes about,
You should try their hardtail 😈 . So wanted to love it - it looked the dogs . . . to be fair I didn't really give it much of a chance . . . feet flying off the pedals in the rooty corners in FOD had me running crying back to full-sus 😕

no i agree, they're not the prettiest of bikes, although the new ones are swoopier and a bit easier on the eye!
Tbh foes are more about stiffness and going down hill much faster than I can!
mamadirt - that does look lovely! I bet it beat the cr** out of you though!
Certainly did - my wallet too 😉 .
🙂 i'd love a foes hardtail, if only to look at and polish!
Keep it coming with the foes's. . Got to be a few more out there?!
I have tried to put pictures of my foes's on other sites and it never happens for me, pants.
ooh nice GrumpyStevo - how come you're selling?!
forgotmename - are you making sure that the links you use end in .jpg as opposed to all the re-size gubbins etc?
Crell - nice that, just wondering where you got it from? Is the grey paint job a custom thing? (only seem to be available in black and red at the moment!)
It is a custom job - painted the same grey RAL as a german made post box 🙂
Started life as a red one from Balfa, who had it re-powdered for me.
Foes will do custom colours form the factory as well. I love it.
Selling for a couple of reasons
1. lack of use. I was off the bike for best part of a year due to injury. Have started back on a nice new Evil sovereign HT and am really enjoying it.
2. Foes is capable of way more than i will ever be able to do on it, this is probably why i enjoy the HT more. On the same trail at the same speed you get a greater sense of fun/ragged edgeness(?) on the Evil compared to the Foes.
Suspect i will sell it and regret it, as i will probably not be able to afford another new one for a long time, B-29 is mighty tempting though.
Yeah I know what you mean - my FXR takes me to speeds downhill that I'm not very comfortable with!
To be honest, it only seems to come alive at medium to high speed - it's a bit uninspiring on the slow stuff..
GrumpyStevo - My FXR frame, to appear in the classifieds shortly.
If that had of been the XCT you'd have had a sale
RRR looking sweet but, your a big guy? bike looks short and the wheels arew to small. 😀
Aj - yep it is a little bit short for me but not too bad. .
Podge - go on buy the fxr! You know you want to!
Grumpy Steve - liking the FXR. What weight is the shock set for? (eyeing the piggy-bank, meaningfully....)
Too much bike for me.RopeyReignRider - Podge - go on buy the fxr! You know you want to!
Pz_Steve - Shock is set for 14.5st e-mail in profile if you want more details. There are a few bad pics at

Cheers
I don't think there's enough of me to do it justice I'm afraid (11st 6 weakling here)... Shame, I'd just about justified it to myself..!
Hope this works!
Should be a picture of my new baby.

pictures of my old babies on there too, i still have the xcr5, the new one weighs 34lb, 32 with normal seatpost, and bonty mud x tyres.
Pz_Steve:-
Talk to Jamie @ balfa - Really got foes sort in the UK now - he'll be able to re-valve the shock for you and I think he will swap springs too.
Wore a hole in my floating brake arm @ cwm Carn on sat the 13th, phoned Jamie from the bottom while waiting for the uplift, he had an order leaving the US the following thursday so he phoned up Foes and they managed to find me a NOS arm for my ancient fly. Arrived tuesday, paid for thursday, hopefully here for the weekend.
Top bloke.
P.s. Foes are awesome, and theres nothing like curnutt suspension.
Guess i posted too late!
no its a anthrocite, metalic grey colour, has a lot of pink n greenish flecs in the paint and looks very metalic, size medium, not ridden in anger yet, going to a trail centre on saturday for 1st ride,il report back how well floating brake and air can work. Did you see the x foes's on flickr link?
There's been a couple of fox sprunk fly's on SDH recently for £800-£850, so wanted the one with boxxers, but my knee wasn't working that week so I was in a bad mood so didnt buy it 🙁
jonswhite - what sort of weight does yours come in at?
My 2007 with ti coil curnutt seems very heavy.. around 35lb ish..
Had 1st ride on my new foes at coedi today, twas excellent, took joplin off and put mud x"s on, 32.47lb.

mmm lovely, really is. I just wish that mine didn't feel so short...
btw forgotmename, how did you get yours in a custom colour? I thought balfa could only get red or black?!
I spoke to Jamie @ balfa and he ordered me a metalic gunmetal type colour, he had just put an order in for some and had 1 left on that order, i think, so i had it, had to wait 3months ish tho, which was ok as the weathers been so shite i couldnt of ridden it anyway.
The bolt through rear was really noticeable, as was getting full travel out of the air can, didnt even think about it, it seems to be set just right at 85-90lb main chamber and 75-80 other, also didnt feel heavy on the climbs, but thats probably because i was stoked, and it rocked on the downs. Looking forward to a peaks bash now.
cool. which bit of peaks do you ride?
if Dark peaks (hope, edale, ladybower) then give me a shout as I'm around that way!
i ride dark peaks, trail depends on weather, wind conditions, often from hetherdene car park or castleton car park. Il email u next time, prob saturday if weathers ok.
Weight is just over 32lb.
Interesting, I really don't see why mine comes in at over 35lbs!!
Fork, Wheels (tubeless too), but mostly shock, I'd assume.

My 2007 FXR 2:1 in Large is now for sale in case anyone's interested...??
