Who ever fitted your kitchen should have realised that the units needed to come out a little so your cooker would be flush.

Robust bike though. Looks tough.

You should try their hardtail 😈 . So wanted to love it - it looked the dogs . . . to be fair I didn't really give it much of a chance . . . feet flying off the pedals in the rooty corners in FOD had me running crying back to full-sus 😕

no i agree, they're not the prettiest of bikes, although the new ones are swoopier and a bit easier on the eye!

Tbh foes are more about stiffness and going down hill much faster than I can!

Crell - nice that, just wondering where you got it from? Is the grey paint job a custom thing? (only seem to be available in black and red at the moment!)

It is a custom job - painted the same grey RAL as a german made post box 🙂

Started life as a red one from Balfa, who had it re-powdered for me.

Foes will do custom colours form the factory as well. I love it.

Selling for a couple of reasons
1. lack of use. I was off the bike for best part of a year due to injury. Have started back on a nice new Evil sovereign HT and am really enjoying it.

2. Foes is capable of way more than i will ever be able to do on it, this is probably why i enjoy the HT more. On the same trail at the same speed you get a greater sense of fun/ragged edgeness(?) on the Evil compared to the Foes.

Suspect i will sell it and regret it, as i will probably not be able to afford another new one for a long time, B-29 is mighty tempting though.

Yeah I know what you mean - my FXR takes me to speeds downhill that I'm not very comfortable with!

To be honest, it only seems to come alive at medium to high speed - it's a bit uninspiring on the slow stuff..

Pz_Steve:-

Talk to Jamie @ balfa - Really got foes sort in the UK now - he'll be able to re-valve the shock for you and I think he will swap springs too.

Wore a hole in my floating brake arm @ cwm Carn on sat the 13th, phoned Jamie from the bottom while waiting for the uplift, he had an order leaving the US the following thursday so he phoned up Foes and they managed to find me a NOS arm for my ancient fly. Arrived tuesday, paid for thursday, hopefully here for the weekend.

Top bloke.

P.s. Foes are awesome, and theres nothing like curnutt suspension.

I spoke to Jamie @ balfa and he ordered me a metalic gunmetal type colour, he had just put an order in for some and had 1 left on that order, i think, so i had it, had to wait 3months ish tho, which was ok as the weathers been so shite i couldnt of ridden it anyway.
The bolt through rear was really noticeable, as was getting full travel out of the air can, didnt even think about it, it seems to be set just right at 85-90lb main chamber and 75-80 other, also didnt feel heavy on the climbs, but thats probably because i was stoked, and it rocked on the downs. Looking forward to a peaks bash now.
