Have just purchased my first GPS (Garmin Dakota 20) and i'm trying to change the base map. I've downloaded maps from talkytoasteruk and loaded them onto the gps using Mapwel. I loaded one map to internal memory and another to the SD card but neither are visible on the device. Any ideas?

I bought a Dakota 20 on Monday after spending some time on the phone with support at Garmin asking questions.
This is what I understood from what they told me:
You can only put Garmin maps in a Garmin. You can route plan on your pc with maps from a different source. When you load the route into your Garmin it overlays it [i]onto the Garmin map[/i] in the Garmin.
