I decided to give her a right good seeing to so stripped all the paint off, took the frame to the powdercoaters, resprayed the forks, ordered some new stickers from slikgraphics, built some new wheels, spent a s**t load of time trying to get the new bearings back in the frame, stuck some Nuke Proof stuff on and bam... here she is in new guise.

I like that.
Nice detailing with the red spacer to tie in with the Joplin.
Nice.

Looks very nice, when you have the front wheel sorted it will have just the right amount of white.

First picture taken at the top of the Ridiculator, per chance?

That looks like a saweet ride mate, I nearly bought a pitch a while back but would never have had it looking that way, deff a one of a kind and some nice colour co-ordination, will look even better once the new fornt wheels is on it.

Thanks guys. I love this bike. It shreds the gnar like nothing else.

It was really cool because I had some friends over for a long weekend and I seconded poor Michael's van and driver for the weekend (www.switch-backs.com). The frame came back the on the day they arrived so I rode my Summum and then they forced me to build it and ride a 6" bike with them. Loved every minute.

Very nice indeed.
I think some custom "specialized Bitch" stickers would be great!

Funny you should say that because this is what it said about three years ago, after a little masking and painting.

Anyone have an opinion on these?

Yeah, I was thinking of putting this on it...

That'd look flippin ace! Not a fan of repainted bikes with no graphics, and a lot of the time the original graphics on a new colour look a bit rubbish.
I don't even like White bikes but that'll look fantastic. Almost factory but 100% better.

Where from?

Sorry Flamejob, I don't like it in white at all. I think it looked waaaay better in brown with the subltely altered graphics and the Rock Phox forks. Now it just looks like a Commencal or a Giant. You've ruined my favourite STW customised bike 🙁

How much are slikgraphics quoting for the decals? I was thinking some ultra glitzy gold decals to go on my bike to cover the original ones. Matching fork ones too.
I need my frame to match the increasingly Las Vegas style of my bike. I'm going for full Huggy Bear style gold tat, my most recent aquisition being some Spank Royala bars and stem.
This picture was NOT taken with a flash, I promise!

I have to agree with PP that there are too many white bikes around.
If I ever wanted a different colour I'd probably go for a forest green or burnt orange instead. But I love the brown and so does anyone else who sees it.
Opinion is divided on the gold bits though. 😀
Please, any gold tat you have lying around, send it to me. 😉

@robdob I tried to persuade slikgraphics to do a Pitch kit; I even offered to prototype it for them but didn't get a reply. I mean... what is the market for bikes like the Summum? How many of those are there (300 actually) compared to the Holy Pitch?

Two of my other 4 white bikes on my mini...

Very neat. I don't particularly like suspension bikes but that looks balanced.

I do have a weakness for white minis though 🙂

The fork stickers are about £15 and are the same super hard material as the originals.
The decal drawing above is just something I came up with.

Love the white and I reckon the graphic's you have chosen would finish it really nicely. There is no accounting for taste, personally I can never understand why anybody would like a brown bike, unless matched with a tweed jacket and flat cap.

Yeah; I didn't buy it because I liked the brown, but because it is a great bike. I thought it deserved some love though.

@PeterPoddy The Pike sticker thing was wearing a bit thin; inly real nerds (like us) got it!

the "specialized" decal looks crap - a plain Spesh decal on the down tube alone (or with a v.small toptube decal) would look miles better.

as would a zero deg stem with no/less spacers and riser bars.

Hope you didn't just fit flat bars to get a red anodised spacer under the stem to match the red anodised collar on your upydowny post?
