Looking for a GPS map for Canada/Transrockies area for a Garmin 800.
Are there any free ones out there.....

You could try OpenStreetMap, this is probably the easiest website to download Garmin maps: http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/
Or some maps here, including contours: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/country/ca
