Anyone tried/used one of these for GoPro cameras?

First time I've seen one of those, but looks like an excellent idea.

Eliminates a major potential weak-spot in mounting, and depending on how sweepy your bars are, should make pointing your camera straight forward very easy.

Would probably want to remove it when the camera wasn't mounted though, doesn't look very comfortable to impale in the chest!

Cheers, Rich

You can just clamp it to the stem using the normal handlebar mount and get the same effect. It's not a great viewpoint unfortunately

Gets marks off for not using the gopro quickrelease... Anything that makes me unbolt it from its foot annoys me. Clever, though.

For bar mount, the closer to the stem you can get it, the better- reduces yaw. So that's good. But mainly bar-mount is for rear-facing IMO and I'm not sure it'll be in quite the right place for that- I usually mount mine stickign out ahead of the bars for that.
