Boy am i a happy mtber, i posted on here last wednesday pm that my Kinesis Xc2 had been stolen from my hangar in shoreham, well they nabbed a "youth" escaping from a train in Portsmouth station on my bike.
Picking it up fri pm.
Good work British Transport Police
that's brilliant news ๐
maybe you can't say, but was it a student - can't imagine a bike thief on an awayday finding their way to the airfield?
Good news!
Blimey...more amazed that you have a hanger.
How many bikes have you got... ๐
Ace news.
Would like to have my own hanger! I`ve now got 3 bikes "again" Not sure if it was a student but someone must have tipped someone off!!!
The police and the Transport Police have been great, never doubted em............. Thanks to all thats kept an eye out for me.
Great news! Nice to hear some success stories!

I'm sorry to hi-jack this good news thread but I am astonished how often people assume that thieves and others that operate outside of the law are somehow intellectually inferior to your average hard working law abiding citizen..
The fact that these twunts have decided to work significantly less hours for much higher reward and can pick and choose the hours they work suggests that they may actually be the smarter cookies...
yunki - it was just that, given the distance from shoreham station to the airfield and the issue of gaining access it seemed more likely that someone had a reason to go there rather than just travelling from Portsmouth with a view to nicking a bike from a storeroom in a hanger at the airfield, really. Not trying to imply that bike thiefs are thick or 'owt.
aye well... you'd better not be... poor little blighters get bad enough press as it is.. ๐
work significantly less hours for much higher reward
fewer
Thanks goodness someone else picked that grammatical slip up... I was afraid that I would have to don the Grammar Nazi hat and mention something.
Good news on getting the bike back though. You don't live in an area served by sharia law do you? Might be worth a punt to try and encourage people not to steal in future...
phew! always happy to be corrected
You don't live in an area served by sharia law do you?
I'd give my right hand to get a decent bike...
no good it was a left handed Kinesis.......
Oh well, that means the frame upgrade can go ahead now! Cant be seen on a 2nd hand frame.... might not be safe!
