Knees out. Elbows out.

What do I look like
[img] [/img]
I was shot and the three wheelsuckers have just passed me.
How the hell can I bring my bits in that much?

Edit; I am bow legged. And when I used to run it was the same, just struck the ground with the outside of my foot.

Are you the dude in green?

You have been around the block a few times so this is probably an egg sucking statement but you sure your saddle is high enough? Knees out wide, leg looks quite bent. Heel is quite high though so maybe it's a flexibility/ tight hamstrings thing...

Yep. I can look worse. It's when I'm digging in, there I've just led the three I'm with past the group behind so a bit hard hit. It's horrible innit.
Thing is when I raced in the olden days no one ever bothered to take pictures.
Saddle height? might get a second opinion, but I don't think so. 5'8" 31.5" inside leg. Saddle top to axle is 35"

And my front tyre blew on a drop, I crashed cut my leg and finished the last 15 minutes of the race on the flat front tyre.

I was going to go over for that today but I recalled the course was pretty uninspiring and the weather was so nice it was a shame not to get out for a ride.... How was it?h

Sam. They tweaked it today. The hurdles and sandpit went, but they made the four old air-raid shelters very tricky.
I was a bit gutted. Been chasing a younger club mate, he started the season with a 2 minute race lead. That went down to just over a minute and today prior to my puncture it was 12 seconds.
Are you campaigning a Kite?

1/2" up and it made a huge difference. One of the problems is the sole thickness of my shoes. Those yellow Mavic road race shoes have wafer thin soles, whilst my training and MTB shoes are quite built up
From today's race. Might try taking the saddle back a bit as I'm over the bars a fair bit.

Saddle top to axle is 35"?

And your inside leg is 31.5"

Excuse an obvious question here but if you have 175mm cranks, that adds another 7" approx, so saddle top to pedal at bottom of the stroke is 42" vs a 31.5" inside leg? How do you even reach the pedals?

I'm a 33" inside leg and saddle top to centre of BB is 75cm = 30" approx.

You think you look bad? You should see me side on, if I stop by the trail people throw a bucket of water over me and try to push me back into the nearest lake....

Saddle top to pedal axle, not bottom bracket. And 170mm cranks, I'm only 5'8". 175's are for the 6' plus guys I always thought.

I just think you look purposeful. Apart from today when you took advantage of me and finished ahead of me.

that makes sense. Is there a formula for that then (years ago i was told inside leg minus 12% for saddle top to BB, and I've always worked off that)

are you not just trying to block the way of the others coming by, or at least get tangled and snag a lift for a bit ๐Ÿ™‚
