We're going on a fairly long bike trip in June and am making some contingency plans just in case an LBS is needed. Can people recommend good LBSs, in terms of parts availability and fixing things, in the French and Swiss (Verbier / Zermatt) Alps area?
I know Zero G in Chamonix are pretty good, and I've seen a couple of bike shops in Bourg D'Oisan, are there are any good ones in the resorts themselves, or outside of Chamonix, Grenoble, Geneva etc.
For a 6 week trip I was thinking about taking a spare set of wheel bearings, spare shock bushes, fork oil and bleed kit on top of the usual spares (plus a spare seat post for when the Joplin fails...). Any other suggestions?
PS - I do realise France is in Europe, not central Africa, and I'm fairly handy with a spanner, but I dont want to lose holiday time sorting stuff out if mechanicals happen.

There was a biggish one in Martigny (I think) that Bike Verbier took us to for some spares.

Phil once road my mates bike all the way there from the top of the ultimate while my mate continued on Phils down said trail! Now thats service 8)
