I've finally done what I have promised myself for ages, and booked the BMX track at the National Cycling Centre for a gang of work and club riders.

I'm well excited. Anyone been? any tips over and above the instructions that came with the booking?

The big step up at the end of the 2nd straight is about a foot longer than it looks (2 broken ribs).

I'd love to have a go - but feels like not the place for an old git!

Any old gits out there tried it? (I reckon Veteran status (40) = old git)

Im 40. Falling off any bike or down stairs can break ribs 😉

I'm not an old git for another 4 months then so I'll be fine!

It's a bloody bargain too, £120/hour for upto 16 riders, includes bikes and a coach!

There's a couple of committed wheels on the ground riders going. By the sounds of it, they should be fun to watch. 😀

I'm old enough to be your dad.
