I like it, even though I can't decide if the como paint job is "yoof" or "mid life crisis" ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love my AM too, but mine looks better than yours because...... I got a ride in today and it's now covered in trail dust ๐Ÿ™‚

Tyre logos, valves not lined up, pedals and cranks not level, wonky tree, otherwise a lovely bike. ๐Ÿ˜› (did I miss anything?)

You're kidding right? The whole damn bike screams mid life crisis!

Megatron I did indeed get the wheel sorted. True to their word Easton gave me a new rear wheel. Hope you're well buddy!

Having spanked my load on the bike I can't afford patio furniture.

Or toilet roll

Or food. ....

As much as I love Nicolai's (I have one myself), I have to say I don't like that.
Might be in the minority though. I think it might just be the paint job putting me off.
As above windows and the grass is far too long.

"did I miss anything?"

Lawn needs mowing/tidying
Window frame could do with painting
Fence/gate look like theyd benefit from recoatign
chairs could be put away

cant really see the state of your windows, brickwork/pointing ..

What else do people moan about on here?

Wrecker, seriously be my guest.

Lawn was mowed just after I cleaned the bike but please dont mention that window. It's needed doing for tree years now.

Well I have a nicely (and quite similarly) specced 5 spot for a swapsie.
Let me know the next time you hit cwm or Afan.

Now 1x10 w/ XT brakes.
Edit; are they carbon wheels? On second thoughts..........

Carbon wheels? No no, nothing to see here. Move along please!

Wrecker very nice. I used to ride Cwmcarn a lot but haven't been there in almost two years! Will drop you a line if I can get a pass.

Here's mine - today it was accessorised with a Weeride and my daughter.

Much of the 'egging-on' with the build of this was from geetee although as I am considerably younger than him it can't be a midlife crisis bike....?!

That is near perfection for me.

I particularly like the way you are using those Formula rotors, which I happen to think are as pretty as rotors get, even though you have Shimano brakes. (Assuming my eyes are not failing me).

HammerSchmidt is great after nearly two years of abuse... still on the original bottom bracket which is a novelty for me. I've cleaned it inside a few times and I use oil instead of grease as I do with Hope hubs to keep it freewheeling easy; very important in winter up here. I love it, no more front mechs for me on the bikes I ride hard.

x2 on the HS messiah. Mines going on the AC29e when it gets here. A tad portly, but I've battered the arms on rocks and I have to have full chain retention for the racing I do plus I prefer a granny too for the silly climbs, struggle to find an alternative. I either 1x or a HS. I reckon it costs me about 500g over 1 x 10, but the alps are a beatch, well quite a lot of the UK is too, 1x 10 on a big day out.
Never had to change the chainring.

I likes it by the way geetee. Pugh I also like my Nicolai's ano black cos it looks 'ard

new XTR shadow plus on my AC29er is STUNNING !

no chain drop, tight shifts, quiet and impeccable shifting from the XTR cassette / chain / shifters / full drivetrain...... Lurverrrly.... ๐Ÿ™‚

Hammerschnmidt desperately needs to shed weight to be welcomed by the masses, but the old planetery gear whir is NICE ๐Ÿ™‚

You're eyes are not failing you and that is very well spotted; they are indeed Formula rotors. Shimano don't come with rotors and I previously had Formula The Ones on it, but I got tired of them being so sensitive to set up and having minimal pad clearance so I eBayed them and got the Shimanos.

Messahi and FFTS, great to see you're respective bikes up here. The Bombers are probably the best matched fork for the AM I think.

TLR glad to hear you're having so much fun on the AC29er - good that you're finally happy!

Very nice Kix - have you had that long? There was a similar Helius up for sales recently, I think also with the urban camo paint. I was pretty tempted to bid for it!

Alex

With the picture hosted somewhere on the internet, right click while you're cursor is hovering over the picture. You should get a drop down menu.

From that menu chose 'Copy Image Location'. Then in the dialogue box to post on STW, chose IMG from the row above. Then paste the copied URL into the box that opens and click OK.

Lovely AM geetee. I'm just coming up for 4 years on an FR and I still love it to bits. I have absolutely no idea what I'd replace it with.

FR is one of my favourite looking Nicolai's Friend has just had one off Dipper, its lovely. And Halfords Matt black car paint is a perfect match for black ano scuffs, you just can't spot it ๐Ÿ˜‰
