… and 22.2mm clamp.

I picked up a ZTTO(?) one in a deal recently and it’s not great.

I have a couple of PNW levers but they are more than I’d ideally like to spend.

All suggestions welcome ☺️

My wife’s Shimano one felt good (now swapped with a Fox as it came with her new post, which does feel better) and I think they’re pretty cheap.

I have One Up and Wolftooth and think the OneUp feels nicer. They both do the job though.

Hard one as the ZTTO one is great, you sure you've not just picked up a dodgy ali express ZTTO one?

I have tried a few over the years, bikeyoke, oneup, rockshox, wolftooth, etc and the ZTTO is just so easy to set up and use, it is fiddly if you have to dismantle and so on, but no more than the others and it's been flawless for me, but again, there seems to be loads of 'variants' of this lever around, so might be more dodgy ones making it a gamble

We've got 2 bikes with ZTTO ones. When I get round to it, I'll order more as they are much nicer than the other (mainly brand x ) ones we have.

What don't you like about it?

Perhaps I have a duff one. The bolt easily bent ( came that way ) and I couldn’t adjust of the free play.

Maybe I will try another.

Performance wise I found little to differentiate between the ztto and the wolf tooth it's a clone of. The parts were even interchangeable. Main difference was slightly better quality on the wolf tooth one.

Another happy ztto user. I think bontrager were the other one that used to get recommended, but I’ve never used them

Another unhappy ztto user. It's better than the dreadful Brand X one but not a patch on the Shimano one on the other bike.

Bontrager is very similar to the OneUp version at around half the cost

Shimano MT500 is brilliant at around £20.

Very smooth and effortless, good ergonomics. Comes with inner and outer.

Not sure why it's so cheap. Even a I spec EV version of needed.

@nickfrog I think the more relevant question is why are all the others twice the price? Just ordered the One Up remote because I've ordered their post and thought I'd best stick with the same brand . Wasn't aware Shimano made one 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I think you've answered your own question. People don't realise Shimano make one. The One-up is very good though, just functionally no better but probably better finished what with the softer rubber pad and the machining.

I’ve got 2x ztto levers and don’t even think about them once setup. Just do the job. I’m sure there are better quality levers out there but can’t see any benefit to me.

When I was looking the PNW ones looked good though and were cheaper than wolftooth.

I don’t really understand why they’re so expensive - when you compare them to the complexity of a gear shifter the costs seem crazy.

Thank you all and thank you @solarider for the offer. I've tried a trigger like that in the past (Giant?) and didn't get on with it.

I've plumped for a MT500

Thank you again 🙂
