Anyone been to GT this weekend? Are the upper red trails clear/open yet? Website is still showing trails closed as of the 12th Dec. Was planning on going this weekend. Thanks

We were there yesterday and all the upper stuff was closed , lots of trees down . Still more than enough to put together a worthwhile ride . Might be more open by the weekend

The website for the 7 Stanes has good trail conditions updates, always useful for a starting point.

Yes, believe it or not I did check the website before posting, but wanted more up to date information than the 12th Dec (as shown on 7stanes site).

No there's not. Spooky Woods climb and descent are both easily negotiated, just some trees on the fireroad part of the climb and one on the descent - all easily passed.

Super G has one tree down near the top, also dead easy to get round

Boundary trail is fine. Rode it yesterday. Involved a few hike and bike moments, but that was more at the bottom.

Was there two weeks ago just after the BIG STORM! Rode "off piste" did Deliverence and Redemption amongst other bits which were screened off, there were tress down but nothing caused us any alarm. Thought it ironic that people ride natural trails for the first time without a clue as to the conditions, but a few fallen trees at a trail centre and we start obeying all the rules...like we don't know the risks. Was good mainly cause no other bugger was there.
