It's OK telling him about the spiders etc.

but Its worth mentioning that there's a good likelihood that the winter snows will have arrived by then & the border will be closed until next spring

You may jest but the whisky warehouse repairmen who are trying to make good the damage from last winter's snow are now bricking themselves. They've had a long range forecast predicting snow as early as Sep. So there you have it folks. Go to Wrexham. It's safer.

Midges are never really a big problem at Glentress, there are normally some good spells of weather around Sept as well.

Just watch out for the massive spiders they are looking to feed before they hibernate!

Watch out for clouds of dust caused by Smee riding there as well. You can be lost in those clouds for days, even the spiders have trouble navigating then.
