[Closed] Glasgow Riders: Forestry Work near Mugdock

Hi Folks,

If you ride in the Craigallian and Carglas plantations (just outisde Mugdock Park) then please be aware that the forestry work is about to start. There will be forest road upgrading as well as the harvesting. The harvesting work will take place in 2 phases and is outlined in the forest plan included in the post below. The area at the top of Rosies and Flux looks like it will be extensively harvested as well as a few other pockets elsewhere. The harvesting work is due to take place from now until August.

The forest road will still be passable, just make your presence known to the contractors. Obviously, as you all "[url= http://www.snh.gov.uk/docs/B171756.pdf ]know the code[/url]" you'll be following the advice on tree felling operations.
