First off road ride in 2010 (sorry). Out of the two locations, which will be in the best condition? I know should MTFU and just ride, but if one is less muddy/snow covered/whatever, then all the better.

Lee quarry is always ok. A bit sticky at the top. But the snow has gone.
I would have thought the snow has gone from Gisburn as well, though it was sloppy in places(for a trail centre)when I rode there before Christmas. Still great fun though whichever you ride.
