I am off to gisburn tomorrow for the first time and was wondering if anyone knows if there is any snow there any info appreciated ,thanks
If there is I don't think it will be an issue. Was in Clitheroe this morning and there was nothing on the ground and only a dusting on the hill tops, much of which had gone by lunch time.
Should be fine. Have you got maps etc. ? If not you can download from www.pmba.org.uk/gisburn.htm
Snow won't make much difference at Gisburn , we were up there 4 weeks ago and it was snowing and everything was rideable.
Thanks for replies will be heading there tomorrow ๐
Just a suggestion , as there are no facilities (yet) at Gisburn we always do the route from the 'Dog and Partridge' pub in Tosside (s****s) . Just follow the fireroad at the side of the pub and it brings you to the point where the figure 8 crosses.
I was there last night and there was no snow apart from some very small patches away from the track near Whelpstone Crag. The conditions were actually very good as the tracks are still very dry.

...cos you can't see all the rocks until you hit them ๐
P.S. That's not a recent photo, there was no snow up that way earlier in the week
