Recently had a bit of a shunt and knackered my Giro Zen, I know there is a return policy where you get a discount on a new helmet. However I've heard conflicting info. on this and wondered whether anyone had used the scheme and if so let me know how it worked out for them?
Cheers Mat
As long as it's under 3 years old & you have proof of purchase - it's not a problem

Thanks searched high and low for that info!

No proof of purchase needed, just the helmet and crash replacement fee.
Did it mayself with my Havoc and it was all done and sorted in less than a week - brilliant! This link to the Madison web-site tells you how:

Sent a Xen off, for the second time, earlier in the week; was £35 or so first time I used the policy a couple of years ago - now £62.50! Still a good deal.
I know it says you have to have the same helmet does any one know whether that's up for discussion? It's just that I'd want a Athlon as a replacement? I guess I could sell the Zen when I received it...
As far as I know it's straight swap only, unless they no longer do the one you destroyed. My guess would be it protects them from people trying to get a cheap upgrade rather than paying full RRP at a shop.
Best bet would be to try and sell the Zen, brand new and in the box you should get half decent money for it.
I tried to change model once and they just sent me a straight swap. To be fair, that's what their terms said they would do and the service was quick.
Yep, like for like replacement only I am afraid.
