For anyone else who ends up in the same situation.
I bought a fox fork cheap off ebay. Then found out it was not a standard tapered. It was OD2 size as in title.
The crown race and bearing fit in my standard 1.5" external cup on the bike and with the top part of the giant/fsa od2 headset a few od2 spacers and an od2 stem the fork does fit an xx44 straight headtube.
