We quite often stay at the blue dot which I now know is next to Swinley.
Can I get to the tracks from the south end of the forest or will I have to travel round to the top?

Yes, very easily... Just find vicarage lane in Bagshot and ride in from there - 5 mins ride to the bottom of deerstalker area and pick up the red loop from there.
