In the quest for a longer 29er frame with more stand over height than a traditional double diamond the Tarn has caught my eye.

I'm only interested in the 29er option as I have the plus thing covered.

Anyone fun one with 29" wheels? If so what's the clearance like?

Is the 2017 Tarn 29er the same frame as the 650b offerings?

Bike radar seem to say yes:

You get the same boost axle double-butted chromoly frame as the other bikes in the range, but with a slightly different paint scheme. Gladly, that also means you get the same long, low and slack geometry that these bikes are already known for.

Hmmm not sure.

I was looking at a 2016 frame that has a plated DS chainstay.

Same frame for 29 and 650+

Pre-production frames had plated DS chainstay. Production ones didn't for 2016 nor 2017.

Looking at one of these in 650+ flavour as there's some really cheap deals around. Does everyone get on with them? Anything to be aware of? Aware kit is functional but deore has always been good to me. Weight seems only real downside but I can live with that.
