Got my bike on Friday.
As Genesis say, it's a very handsome bike.
First impressions: it's got girl's bars! The 55 top-tube 54 is perfect for me but not with those bars. Bit annoying. Had to go straight out and drop £56 on some new bars.
The fork on my bike is wider that the hub, so you have to squease them to get the wheel on. Shame.
But the bike is GREAT. Lots of fun and felt perfectly comfortable razzing it around the Surrey Hills trails. No good on the bumpy stuff of course. I put Continental Cross Race on mine straight from the box.
Alfine 11 seems great. The range from the 40T chainring is perfect. Great big gear at the top and plenty in the smallest gear to get up everything. My bike was built with way too much shifter cable dangling about at the front but easily put right.
BB7 brakes are very good, but I know that's well known on here.
Had loads of interest from mountain bikers. Not big or clever to ride it instead of an mtb but it did fine and it was worth a try.
All in all I like it loads. It's a very pretty bike and everything works.
