I have a Garmin Etrex 3 with Garmin's City Navigator UK and Ireland maps for routing. The City Navigator maps are route only and have no topographical detail so I downloaded a non-routable UK and Ireland map from Talky Toaster with the intention of overlaying the roads over the topographical detail. However, with both maps enabled only the City Navigator map shows (irrespective of which order they're enabled); I assumed there for that you were only meant to have a single map enabled. However, I loaded a routable version of the same Talky Toaster map and this does show the topographic details through the City Navigator maps; the problem here is that the Etrex complains about accuracy, presumably as it has two lots of routing data (if you zoom in very close some roads appear twice as I assume that the Open Map and Garmin data is very slightly different).
Does anyone know of a topographical only map that can be used in conjunction with City Navigator maps?
I'm getting this problem with my Etrex 20 and Talky toaster maps.
I have loaded and enabled bot the contoured and uncontoured maps and even when the uncontoured are disabled it won't load the contoured ones.
I've tired a number of maps and the only one that the City Navigator maps will overlay is the routable Talky Toaster one, but then there are routing issues/double roads.
