Anyone know what Garmin 800 settings are required to get street names to appear at the top of the mapping screen during a ride. I had this working once and it would show upcoming street names as I approached them. However I must have changed something as now I just get "Heading North" etc. I'm after the street names being displayed in just "normal riding along" mode, not following a course/route etc.
Any ideas ? I've tried quite a few settings 🙂
Have you tried in system>settings>Map>guide text>always display.

Yup, that just results in the "Heading North" etc text appearing at the top vs nothing at all.
Not a Garmin firmware update either as I've never applied one to the device.
