Evening everyone,
Having managed to get one of the Amazon Garmin deals on the 800 Ive now used it a few times and started plotting and downloading courses. Im using the freeby OSM maps which are pretty good, but despite turning guidance on for each course individually I dont get any prompts unless I go off course. Not sure whether is the map or some other problem. Any ideas?

Have you selected turn by turn guidance in the route menu?

Thanks, it looks like it could be the maps so now trying talkytoaster.com as its been recommended by scarletfire and others. Will repost if it works.

Ridewithgps is also a site worth trying for the routes. I use export to GPX Track which works perfectly.
