Got a new Scandal frame with headset recently from on-one. Local bike shop have fitted it but there's a 4-5mm gap between the race and top of the headtube. Is this normal?
Been back to the shop and they assure me it is, as there's a step in the headtube.
Should this cause me any issues? Or do I need a different headset?

That not right. Either your head tube wasn't reamed properly or you have brought a deep headset.
It's an on one smoothie light. came with the frame from on one.
what did on-one say when you spoke to them about it?

just called and been told it's fine, it's related to the headset design.
