Why do they still say 'computer designed' to mean cutting edge technology. I'd be very surprised if anything I'd bought in the last 5 years (excluding fruit and veg!) wasn't designed on a computer!

Oh where to start? In no particular order

Non comparable bikes
Her bike was too big
It wasnt really a race?!
His helmet
His cornering style
His riding style on the climb

What a waste of 5 mins but thanks for sharing!

looks like she rode like the whole way like that. No wonder you had to be cautious on the brakes.. You didn't have a front one!

Hmmmm, the brakes work like an F1 car so I had to take it easy in the corners.

or

I had no front brake because the muppets put my front wheel in backwards so corners were a bit hairy!

The only way it could have been worse is if they'd found some overweight, knock knee-ed, unfit chain smoking old fart to ride the bikes - Where's Clarkson when you need him!

I've driven this track hundreds of thousands of times....

...on my games console.

I'm almost embarrassed for them.

God awful. They might want to involve cyclists at some level the next time they decide to do a feature on bicycles. Just a thought. Idiots.

Yeah at least last time (that I remember) they did a feature on Mountain Bikes, although it was fairly unscientific, they did at least get a decent rider (Guy Martin) to ride 2 bikes back to back on the same trail for comparison.

To be fair though, the program is aimed to be easy viewing TV for the uneducated masses, in any are of "tech" that they review, those in the know will always know far more than the actual presenters.

Installing the front wheel the wrong way round on Polly's bike so she had no brakes though was unforgivable... Even if you had no idea about bikes, you'd still see it and think "that shouldn't look like that!"

If you want some more laughs, here's me and my clubmates in Sky 1's answer to the gadget show (on a few weeks ago).

Equally as bad dialogue/presenters (and no real reviewing of the products) and a worse location, but at least we're real cyclists (on our own bikes).

Gutted they didnt let me keep that Garmin! 🙁

best bit is 1:32 when an Alfa comes into view...

did no-one tell them about cadence?

they should be made to wear clipless - the falls would be good comedy

I reckon what happened was they put the wheel on right, but couldn't get the disc in between the pistons so figured it must be on the wrong way.

Jason is quite handy on a bike.....

But yes, its bad but....

http://www.channel5.com/shows/the-gadget-show-world-tour/episodes/episode-2-418

minute 22:16 onwards

they attempt to drive a car on a public road. With a 3d tv mounted on the bonnet so they can't see the road. A 3D camcorder then feeds and image an image to the screen.

They didn't kill anyone but they did hit a wall. I know it France but some respect for public roads surely

If you've seen Jason on a MTB feature he is well handy on a bike, guessing he grew up on bmx the way he can handle a bike-certainly more talented and comfortable in the air than many.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt you never know what the director is asking for.

Wheel was put on wrong way around so that she wouldn't grab the brake and fly over the bars. I reckon.
