You might have to pump up the shock?
Knobbly tyres make a hell of a noise on a turbo.

And turbos are dull, D, dull, dull, dull

why not,

All you need is a 26" compatable turbo and a slick or ideally a turbo tyre and QR hub, (ideally a spare wheel)

Wouldn't worry about pumping your rear shock up, turbos are there to get you fitter.

Cant see why not but you will need to change the rear tyre to something smooth or there will be a lot of noise.

Yeah, it works.

I used to use my old FSR on a turbo trainer - I had a 2nd set of wheels I use to use with the bike on the road. Too your forks have a lockout?

It will work OK. And with no rough ground you will be able to see how much of your bobbing is caused by your ropey peddling style!!

Yes I do have a spare real wheel with a slick on so all I would have to do is swap it over and my fork has a lock out feature, I have a rp23 shock

technically speaking - rp23 has pro pedal , not lockout (yes that's right - i have nothing better to do!) ๐Ÿ˜†
