So just for information for people.
Last year I converted a red metal 5 QR "only" to 15mm.
Just removed the centre axle and then you can fit hope adapters as the bearings are the same size. You need to play around a little bit with filling down one of the adapters a few mill as the fulcrum hub is slightly wider than the hope.
Pretty simple.
