I'm off to Glentress in a couple of weeks and it'll be the highest number of consecutive days I've ridden by some some considerable margin. I'm wondering what people do in similar circumstances.

Eat.

A good breakfast. Take some trail snacks with you. Mid-day meal at the café if you wish. Decent evening meal. Beer.

No need to make it any more complicated than that.

Proper food, none of those bars, gels n stuff, I only ever do that if there's no option, but you'll never be very far from a cafe.

Yep. Longest I've done is 3 days on the trot. Did pretty much ate as Whitestone advised. No problems.

Only thing I also did was use some high5 tablets in my water as I find they help me stave off leg cramps during the night.

Spoons in Peebles, eggs Benny or balmoral (haggis) and as much filter coffee as you can drink for under a fiver.

Not done it for a while, but I used to park up in main car park just at bus station, behind sainsbos, handy for spoons etc, and no worries parking overnight. I was always pretty careful though, no making it obvious.

Spoons? I'd rather starve than give that ****er a penny.

Cool, plenty other places in town. Better ask them all their political views first though, before you part with yer cash. 😄
