I absolutely detest reels. Alongside reels, the inability to just see people I want to follow has ruined Instagram.

Social media in general is a scorched wasteland of bullshit and I don't use any of it anymore. My brain is grateful.

I like the DT Swiss chain thing but I think I've discovered I have the wrong kind of hub to plug it into.

I like the Formula Selva also but it came along just too late and I bought an RXF36. I'll try a Selva eventually.

Some nice things in this week. And while there are some things that are not cheap, it's nice to have a week where I didn't have a "hoooow muuch!?" allergic reaction to anything.

I concur. lots of 'that looks good' and little 'how much' as I scrolled through.

Reels - the sooner AI destroys social media the better, we can just leave it to the bots

Do you reel? Never heard the expression before.

I have learnt a new term today. Maybe my 12 yr old son is right and I am old and living in the past.

I have had a few Vitus bikes so the above review got me looking at the website. Looking at the e-bikes I found the one I have but a lower spec for 2 k more than I paid two years ago. I accept mine was artificially cheap but I wonder if they will be competitive against posher brands if they cost just as much.

I think the website hasnt changed much in a couple of years, the bike above says 2026 against it though. The bikes on Evans are all heavily discounted compared to the DFS RRPs.

Have you got the accompanying brakes to go with the Hope Evo levers? Are they worth the extra cost over the Tech 4 V4s? Is there a review soon?

Stale Goods really illustrates how much better looking modern full sussers are.

@danp63 yes, we (I) have the brakes and yes, there is a review coming. However, I recently knackered my right index finger and have had limited time on them, so it won’t be for a while yet. I can tell you now though, that the bleeding process is much improved over the old Hope way and is very straightforward. Watch this space…

The tyres on that Vitus 😛 I was going to say "who the hell puts dhfs on both ends in 2025" even before I realised it has a maxxgrip rear. Bananas. Looks pretty good otherwise though?

I still put DHFs front and rear in 2025. Not on the e-bike as it came with Assegai/DHR combo and I’m not wasting perfectly good new tyres. But I’d happily have dHFs on my bikes when they wear out. 2.5 Maxxgrip on the front and a MaxxPro on the back. I think my hardtail currently has a 2.3 on the back (or if might be an SS, can’t remember).
