There was a video clip posted on here a little while ago showing this french guy being filmed from behind and almost running other riders off the route. I cant remember where it was or find the video clip. Can anybody send me a link to it please.

That's a great clip.Well ridden but the guys are behaving like ****s.If they had come past me like that then I would have been sorely tempted to spark the **** once we got to the bottom

the Venosc descent (in the film) is an alpine legend. unless you've ridden it I don't think you're qualified to comment on the behaviour of the other riders. I've been down there more times than I care to remember, both training and while racing. I've overtaken lots of people down it and I've been overtaken down it too, both by riders who are faster than I could ever hope to be and people whom I can aspire to rival. When I was overtaken there, it encouraged me to push myself more - it gave me something to aim for. Do I think the guys in the film are being rude? No, not in the slightest. They always alerted other riders to their presence, said thank you when they moved over and apologised profusely when there was a near miss. Nobody got hurt, everybody had fun so I don't see the need for abusive language.

wtf furry_marmot

Yes the 2 at the top looked out of their depth and were passed relatively safely the next pass was plain dangerous nearly resulting in a very nasty crash as for further down alerting people by whistling like a half wit goat hearder isn't really the best way to alert people. Generally Pardon/Excuse me(moi) on the left or right is good cutting people up and saying thanks is for idiots with very tiny dicks.

obviously I have no means of knowing whether you've ridden it or not. but if you have then I'd expect you to show a little more tolerance for a couple of guys trying to make the most of what is a truly exceptional descent. unless you're another of those riders who pussy-foots their way down and feels bitter about being overtaken, that is. the way I look at it, when I'm out riding I aim to both enjoy myself and not spoil anyone else's day. yes, one of the manoeuvres was perhaps slightly questionable but entirely forgivable, since holding somebody up down Venosc is unacceptable in my view. it looks like we'll have to agree to disagree on this one...

in the Oisans region. runs from the village of Les Deux Alpes at 1650m to the hamlet of Venosc at 950m. served by a fast cable-car which operates till 8pm in summer so you can even session it in the evening... ๐Ÿ™‚
