So,
I've ordered a Nukeproof Mega frame from a dealer about 100miles away from where I live as the price was good. I'm going to be picking it up in a couple of days when I pass there with work.
I have also ordered a headset and bottom bracket/chainset from a different online retailer. I was just going to get my LBS to fit these as I don't have the tools and don't want to damage the frame. I am going to build the rest of my bike up myself.
Question is, should I be getting the retailer I buy the frame from to do this in order to keep the warranty? Or by building the bike up myself I am voiding this anyway?
I don't really want to pay a shop to build the rest of the bike as I'm looking forward to doing it myself!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
as long as any failure in the future is only down to manufacturing defects and not as a result of any bodging then it should be honoured ( q.v. see Litespeed warranty thread though ๐ )
Thanks for the info Stoner. I'll have a look at that thread now.

aye, the frame is designed to have those parts fitted (correctly by a competent person) so they don't have any grounds to reject as long as you can prove that was the case. If they insisted on a certain company to fit it or to use their parts for example they would have to state that.
You should be fine. Just make sure you get a receipt for work like that as you are paying for the job to be done correctly and for the backup of in case something goes wrong.
Cheers. Took heed of the advice and frame now complete with headset, BB and chainset!
