Got a FollowMe tandem for towing my son along on his Early Rider. The bracket to go on his bike is fairly agricultural. Looking for a way to protect the frame. Is helitape going to be good enough? They supply velcro but I think this will still allow damage

I wrapped a bit of old inner tube around my daughters bike then clamped the bracket on. Seemed to work OK.

I went with the Velcro option, though funnily enough that was my own idea as the FollowMe was used - didn't know that's what came with it. Worked fine.
