Frame bag for a Genesis Vagabond

Has anybody bought an Apidura (or otherwise) frame bag for a Genesis Vagabond, size large? I'm trying to work out which size and type will fit. The Apidura website recommends a 7.5l Expedition bag as per the make, model and size, but when I use their sizing app it looks like a 6l Backcountry bag will fit much better, as the bike has a sloping down tube. Any ideas?

I'd probably just go for a custom made one, from Alpkit or somewhere similar - much less hassle and guesswork.

P.S. Am I being stupid, by saying "don't all bikes have a sloping downtube?"

These days, yes, to an extent- but some are much more sloping than others! It used to be that road bikes had horizontal down tubes and mountain bikes were sloping, but the lines have been blurred a little since

Are you getting top tube & down tube mixed up?
Top tube goes from head tube to top of seat tube.
Down tube goes from head tube to bottom of seat tube/bottom bracket.

DT/TT aside, the vagabond is going to be a slightly odd shape as it's ~3" shorter than the same size MTB, which in turn makes the seatube/toptube junction a larger angle (i.e. the toptube slopes more than an MTB).

Fair point

Could always try a custom bag maker such as Straight Cut Designs

Hang on, that's a partial frame bag only. It looks like they may have stopped doing the full frame bags, I can't see any on their website...

Thanks for the photos though- maybe I need to rethink my plans...

I wouldn’t bother with a full bag. Too much opportunity to fill up with unnecessary shite ( I do realise my bike is v bloated in this pic) and more difficult to pick the bike up. But speak to wildcat they will be able to make something to your exacting spec.
