I've done an oil and seal change on my 08 2008 Van R (32mm) forks before and the forks were fine following the rebuild. However, I've recently carried out the work again and the forks seem harsher.
I'm using oil from the same bottle I used for the previous change, the preload setting is the same and so is the rebound rate. In general function the forks are performing absolutely fine, but they just lack the small bump plushness that they used to have.
There's no compression adjustment on the fork, but it is almost as though the compression damping has been increased.
I'm probably going to try another oil change on the damper just incase the oil was contaminated or I cocked something up first time around but has anyone got any thoughts on why this might be happening?
Thanks
Dunno but maybe mail Simon @ loco tuning - he'd give you some pointers ๐

Try putting them on full rebound damping and push down on them and let them rebound (sloooowly) 5 or 6 times, this should get rid of any air in the damping circuit.
Probably make naff all difference, but you never know!
