Just got my conversion kit from Mojo but there are no instructions and I'm puzzled by the alloy 'cup' with the hole in the middle

the black bit in this image although mine is silver

Any ideas?

It goes under a retention ring in the lower end of the fork leg from where the Talas side came out. Hopefully you have a smoothy ring in the groove already it provides the top height of the fork to come to a rest against the top out spring.

Ok, thanks for the info, next question is which way round should it be installed, with the concave side pointing into the stanchion so the negative spring sits inside the cup or pointing out of stanchion so the negative spring sits on the outside 'base' of the cup?

If that's makes sense.

L_P - I'm considering doing the same to my 36s, as the difference in plushness between my talas & my friend's floats is quite considerable.

I've disassembled my wife's 32 floats a couple of times (fixing the issue with the foam ring), so reassembling the bits in the above picture shouldn't be a problem, but how easy is taking the Talas bits out? Do I just follow the first bits of THIS? Mine are 2012 Talas BTW.

And the answer to your question is that the negative spring sits inside the cup, with the flat end of the cup sitting against the circlip at the lowest part of the stanchion.
