I've just whipped the legs off my 2010 32 Talas to do the 'oil the sponges' thing following Mojo's instructions. The seals felt like they might have had grease round them but the instructions don't mention putting any on there.

Should i have greased them?

Sure it wasn't just skanky oil that got behind them?

If you do use grease make sure it is compatible with the seals

I always grease the fork seals when working on any forks.

Just about to do the wiper seal service on mine and found this thread.

Was thinking of using some RnR Superslick on the seals like I do with my RS forks...as TJ mentioned, how would I know if a grease is compatible with the seals?

Basically is it worth bothering with the grease?
