Hello.

Brand new Giant Trance Advanced 1 2016.

Comes with Fox Float 34 FIT4 140.

The code on it is CXZJ.

I've only been to about 4 rides now but today I decided to re-check and set my sag and I'm losing my mind.

I noticed that after I compress the fork down and it returns, it stays about 5mm sunk until I lift the front wheel off the ground. When I do that I hear a short 'whoosh' sound and then 5mm returns (until I compress the fork again).

This is making it really difficult for me to set sag as I'm unsure if I should be including the 'lost' 5mm in the sag measurement or not.

Is this normal or is there something wrong with my brand new fork?

P.S.: I also noticed that I'm using surprisingly low amounts of pressure for the fork. I weigh ~83kg and then with all the riding gear on top, I'm only using 80psi. That's way off Fox's recommendations but then again it might just be normal.
