Hello is it time to get these of to TF Tuned or should I hold on for a while? The forks have discharged this oil after about five hours riding.

Purchased the bike second hand, it had not be used much until I got my hands on it in March. I guess I've done something like, 40 ish hours. Using it for Bristol Bikefest so don't want them packing up on me...

(as far as I know) you just need new wipers/seals, if you're mechanically confident - maybe consider doing it yourself? the kit is £15, and there are really good instructions available online (vids even I think).

I'm about to do it for my Floats (which have the same problem). Last time I sent them to Mojo, £95 later it was fixed...they're out of warranty now, so I'd rather have the £80 to spare!!

They all do that to some extent, some worse than others. The problem is the fox wiper seals are designed to keep the crud out, but not to keep the oil in. My new set of Talas 2010 forks were just like your photo so I replaced the seals with Enduro seals which have a proper oil seal in them. Far better seal IMO no oil running down the legs at all now.

Mine do that, usually after an oil change, but its probably better than no oil. It means that there is plenty of lube around the upper bushing.
If in doubt, strip down and replace the wiper seals. I wouldnt be massively concerned if it were my forks.

Dry foam rings under the wiper seals can cause that.

Bought a mates bike (2006 TALAS RL) which had a been standing for 2 years and after the first couple of rides oil was virtually dribbling out and down the legs.

Took the lower legs off and the foam rings were bone dry so soaked them in Fox Fluid and topped up the oil and they've been fine ever since (about 4 months now).

Thanks folks for all of the advice I think I'll hold fire, I certainly don't fancy making a hash of doing the seals myself 😳 .

As for lubing the foam rings does leaving the bike upside down do the job?

I Also noticed TF Tuned do a a lower lube kit for £15

get some seals form enduroforkseals.com, they come with an extra wiper where the foam ring used to sit. I'm doing that for my menja's.
