My much loved ransom frame needs some nice forks. obviously the world has moved on while ive been happily tootling about and now al the forks in the 160mm range seem to be something called tapered.. madness and sorcery if you ask me.. ive only just got my head around different wheel sizes.
Anyway i most like DH stuff but most of whats around here is limited agression/ small drops with lots of fairly techy cross country bits and general home made stuff.
Is it completely mental bonkers and plain wrong to even consider putting a big DH fork on this as they seem to still be 1 1/8 or should i lose a few mm and drop head angle with a Sektor Gold RL of 150mm Or should i go with some creaky old talas 36 from yesteryear and hope its not brokend?
in fairness ive been using some bomber 44s on it for a while that are like riding around on a soggy mattress so im obviously not that fussy.

Put a post in the wanted forum, somebody is bound to have some old 170mm lyrik in good condition depending on how long a steeper you need....... 😉

Let me measure the steered and you can check. They are in good condition but bought new frame so 27.5 now. Say £120.
sweet, crashed out today and Dali'd my wheel so i choose to blame my forks (wasnt their fault at all really)
From memory i think steerer is about 150 but now i think about it that sounds too short. When you say good condition what you talking? price sounds right though.
