OK, my brother has a '99 Attitude Comp. It's A1 condition and has seen little use. He has been toying with the idea of fitting some more modern forks to replace the old Judy XCs.
Seen as it's a retro geometry, and more comfortable ride is the order of the day, what would you guys reccomend?
I think the limit on length must be 100mm- Trek say 80mm max, but figuring in a comfortable sag, 100mm may be possible?
And I guess it has to be light and xc orientated.

100mm will work fine if a touch slower. 80mm will be spot on.

I've got 100mm MX Comps on mine and they're fine
