I'm really glad I didn't read this thread before I built my BFe with 150mm Revs. Who knew that I was doing it all wrong and my bike isn't half as much fun as I've been thinking all this time!!

One of the most stylish riders in the UK; rocking a long travel hardtail.

There was me thinking it goes something like 'we want this much travel and this head angle, so if the forks this long here's the sums for the rest of it'

Actually thats true - its just how you determine the 'how much travel' you want that depends on what you can actually use.

Gone from a set of lyriks on my slackline to 140 revs and the bike feels a whole load better. I kept the revs originally as i wanted to swap between a FS alps bike and my hardtail. tbh.. the lyriks were too much. Too heavy and too much travel at 160. I also think the axle to crown of the lyriks at 140 was more than the revs at 140.
