Hi All,
A mate of mine who rides a 2008 Specialized Rockhopper needs to purchase new forks. He is borrowing my Fox Talas 140mm and likes them but says that they dive too much (no compression settings) you see.
Can you recommend anything that would suit this bike? He'd like to go for 120mm and QR. Budget time too = £200.
All ideas are welcome.
I put Rebas on my Rockhopper. It's a great fork and very tunable with the dual air chambers. They have now moved on to my Piglet and continue to serve me well.
New they are beyond your budget but I got mine from eBay and they were in mint condition with pump included - bargin.
Rebas if you can get them second hand or at a sale price, otherwise toras would be the next one down. I doubt you would be able to get fox floats for that price, and I've not heard anything about shorter travel zocchis. Maybe look into x fusion as well? Most of what I've heard has been positive.

I thought Recons came somewhere between Toras and Rebas? I'm far from sure, happy and interested to stand corrected...
V8 - you are correct 'range' wise.
Edit- OP, careful with 140mm on a rockhopper.
