Giant Trance X29er (XL), currently running a 150mm 44mm rake/offset fork. If you swapped to a 51mm rake, would you pick:

- Option 1: Barely any noticeable difference, soon adjust after a few rides.

-Option 2: Noticeable difference with more defined steering and a change in climbing. Bike feels different to ride.

- Option 3: Can't tell any difference between 44mm/51mm offset.

I've not done a specific back to back test but from changing forks I'd say option 1, just that the new ones go up and down properlyย

I had sort-of Option 2: Quicker steering/more responsive turn-in changing to a 51mm from 44mm on a Cotic Jeht that I was originally struggling to turn nicely.ย

Didn't notice anything climbing-related and happily admit it might have been placebo but I did notice/feel a change. Also FWIW I didn't actually buy the forks for this purpose, and only checked the offset after I'd ridden it and was curious what the difference was other than going to a different brand so it was a blind test in a way!

Option one. I've got both offsets and tried.

You just quickly adjust.
