You can't travel adjust the coil silvers afaik...think it's air sprung only.

Coil are fixed travel, it's air ones you fiddle the spacers.

I've just got some Gold. A Certain Fork tuning company told me, it was exactly the same as the Air.

Its NOT! So i too am on the look out for a 120mm Coil Assy.
Cheapest 'New' i've found is from Farnham Cycles.

So we have a race between us do we, as to who can find a second hand coil first!!!! Right then! 😈

So you wanted an air 120mm fork and bought a coil 100mm fork? Just me, or that a bit odd?

Well, someone may correct me. But i've been looking and you can get the Air spring assembly for alot less than the Coil!!!!

So it maybe possible to swap the coil out for the airspring assy.

Personally i prefer Coil to air.

IA, In my case i bought the 100mm fork on the knowledge from this well known compnay, that making them 120mm is exaclty the same as the Air Spring version!

Although i'm ok with 100mm, i think 120 would suit my style more.

So anyone reading this, and has a 120 BLack Recon/Tora Coil e-mail me.

(is that allowed?) Sorry if not!

This guy on ebay sold me the fork with the description for solo air's, when they arrived they were coil.Brand new £110,i had dart 3's on my bike so was an upgrade anyway plus still cheap for that price,i decided to cut my losses and fit them, they are one ride old and to be honest they feel great, just wondered what the extra 20mm would feel like

Hahahah 😉

20mm in normal easy going xc wont make any difference.
Its when you start to get a bit crazy with drop offs and jumps etc its usefull.
