Looking to get a 120mm fork (air) for my sons bike I’m building, narrowed it down to these, has anyone got any experience of these please?

I'd go for the marzocchi on reputation (in recent years anyway) alone.

That was my preference, anyone got Suntour forks?

Why those 2? Have you got a great deal on them? Personally I'd be looking at a cheap Reba from Merlin.

Is that based on real life experience?

Reba almost double the price, this is for my 10 yr old son. If I was in a position to spend that much I would give him my Revelations and put a new fork on mine.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that Raidon. Air with hydraulic damping, would much prefer that than a budget Rockshox offering. Great value at that price.

In that case, I'd be checking classifieds/eBay. His bike will have a short head tube, and forks with a very short steerer go cheap on eBay due to the limited market. I picked up an old pair of SIDs for £70, which are perfect on my wife's bike.

Any Recon's around?

I put one on my son's bike, works brill - plus very light and been an air fork easily 'tuneable' for his (lack of) weight.

Although having now just had a quick google, they are twice the price I paid...

Crappy new budget forks, or half decent second hand forks, now thats a tough choice.....
